1. vote by mail
The DC Board of Elections mailed ballots to every registered DC voter last month. If you have your ballot, fill it out, mail it using the envelope provided or drop it at a Ballot Drop Box. Find the nearest drop box by clicking here.
2. Vote Early
You can vote early between Monday, June 8th and Sunday, June 14 between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at any DC Early Voting Center. Find your Early Voting Center by clicking the button below.
3. Vote on election day
Election Day is Tuesday, June 16 2026. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Rank Kenyan #1
on your ballot
The District of Columbia is unveiling a new system of voting this year, called Ranked Choice Voting. You can “rank” multiple candidates. So be sure to rank Kenyan McDuffie #1 on your ballot for Mayor.
While you may rank multiple candidates, you are not required to do so. In fact, your vote for Kenyan will give him the best chance to win the election for Mayor if you do not rank any other candidates.
